Keith has been working in organizational and leadership development for 30 years. A former US Air Force officer, Keith was most recently Vice President and Practice Leader for Development Dimensions International (DDI) serving as visionary and architect for their executive development business. Before that Keith was Director for North American Customs Solutions for the Center of Creative Leadership (CCL).
Keith has designed and implemented organizational transformation projects in over a hundred Fortune 500 companies, working with many CEOs in North America, Europe and Asia. Keith’s way of working can best be viewed as an integrated approach uncovering, isolating and addressing an organization’s most relevant strategic, business operations, and individual leadership challenges.
Operating from a global perspective, he gains and/or leverages insights unique to the industry, region, and culture in helping leaders address their specific business challenges and opportunities. Keith brings a mix of high energy coupled with appropriate learning tension to each classroom coaching engagement or consultancy session and candidly challenges leaders to conduct deeper self-reflection, ensure relevance and ensure immediate business application. In short, he believes the greatest benefit for clients is in helping leaders make the connection between their individual strengths and challenges to the opportunities to enhance business execution and leader effectiveness.
I first met Keith fifteen years ago when we both worked for CCL. We soon developed a close personal and professional relationship based on shared values and a common belief that the most effective interventions are those based on an integrated approach.
Keith’s very wide experience both in the US Air Force and through his corporate career adds incredible value to the team. He speaks the same language as the business leaders we are called to work with and can instinctively see where there are opportunities for achieving higher alignment between strategy, culture, organizational norms and leadership so that clients can achieve the transformation they are looking for.
Keith has a M.S. in Management from the US Air Force Institute of Technology, a B.S. in Management from Park University. He is also a graduate from the University of Carolina’s Senior Executive Programme and has also completed post-graduate studies through the University of Alabama.
Apart from these academic qualifications Keith is certified as an executive coach and facilitator from CCL and has been certified in a myriad of multi-rater and psychometric diagnostic assessments and feedback tools.
Keith is co-author of Leading in Black and White: Working across the Racial Divide (Jossey–Bass, 2003). He has written many articles, white papers and other works focusing on a variety of executive leadership issues. Published works include articles in Harvard Business Review, Black Enterprise, and Business Week.
